Had a really good day today, with over twenty stone of cod caught (didn’t count the coleys).
It was all codlings from about 2 / 3lbs in 70 / 80 feet of water, just that little bit further offshore because the water wasn’t really clear enough close inside.
Most of the fish were caught on jiggers / feathers or daylights. One lad stayed with stormshads most of the day and had by far the best individual catch.
Had a quick go on one of the wrecks using whole squid on flowing traces caught about ten fish then the tide got too strong. Then moved inshore and had the best day so far.

Fishing was great all the lads had a great time pitty the wind spoilt it on sunday although Don’t know what we would have done with any more fish. Looking forward to the next trip, pigeon club Goldthorpe
I was the one using storm shads it absolutely nailed the codling.
