A great days sport on pollock, using worms on the wrecks at 5 miles. We had about 15stone of pollock and about 5 stone of cod. The best fish were a 11lb pollock and a 9lb cod. Good start, hope it keeps up.

Pollock is a big seller over here in the USA in fact McDonalds fish sandwich is made from it.
As a true Boro Boy living here for thirty years I still love Cod
and have not had Skate for over thirty years.
Staithes was our favorite holiday place when I was a kid, in fact the Boro Schools had a camp there for a long time, back when steam trains used to stop there before they tore the bridge down (idiotic thing to do) and closed the coast line.
